Parents 

The Arizona Institute for Autism offers a variety of evidence-based, academic support

and educational solutions for individuals ages 2-18 years old, who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other related developmental disorders. Depending on your individual preference as well as your child's specific needs, our comprehensive educational programs are conducted in-center, in-home, or in-school with a focus on helping your child attain a better quality of life & greater sense of independence.

AIA 'School Readiness Program' -

Our team will develop a comprehensive academic program based on your child's specific educational and behavioral needs. AIA teachers will work closely with your child and implement their individual curriculum in our unique AIA classroom environment. AIA's highly-trained educators will support your child in their school environment by providing guidance & academic support throughout the school day. Behavioral Consultants at the AIA are available to consult with parents about IEPs and provide support during meetings with teachers and other school staff.

IEP Support -

The Behavioral Analysts at the Arizona Institute for Autism are available to consult with parents

about IEPs and provide support during meetings with teachers and other school staff. AIA's team

consists of experts in special education and behavioral health will support you and your child by:

  • Explaining the IEP process

  • Clarifying ambiguous school policies & state laws

  • Identifying academic goals for your child's school to implement

  • Counseling parents on how to become active participants in the IEP process

  • Coaching parents on how to be an effective advocates for their child's educational rights

  • Connecting parents with hard-to-find resources to support their child's academic growth

In-Class Assistance & Direct Care -

The Arizona Insistute for Autism is here to help our students achieve their educational potential by offering classroom support, including:

  • 1:1 Classroom Assistance: AIA's highly-trained educators will support your child in their school environment by providing guidance & academic support throughout the school day. 

  • Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) & Functional Analysis (FA)

  • Private, classroom-based consultation
