Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) 

(Scottsdale, AZ) - Full Time 

Arizona Institute for Autism (AIA) invites qualified individuals to apply for the 'Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)' position in our organization.

Direct Interventionist (DI)

Locations: Scottsdale, Gilbert, Peoria, Laveen - Full Time

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Implement 1:1 direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques in home and school settings

  • Implement treatment plans created by the supervising BCBA and work in collaboration with other team members toward this goal

  • Instruct, motivate, and assist clients to learn and/or improve functional activities

  • Accurately compile behavioral data on client responses to treatments

  • Communicate confidentially and professionally with behavioral support staff, educators, and parents

  • Willingness to travel to multiple locations throughout a work day

  • Willingness to work variable hours (potential for evenings and weekends)

Hiring Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Psychology, Special Education, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Human Behavior preferred) 

  • 2+ years of experience working with children in an ABA setting or SPED classroom environment

  • Applicant must be willing/able to work with clients located in Laveen, Scottsdale, Peoria, or Gilbert. 

  • Reliable transportation, driver's license, insurance, and smart phone

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A passion for serving special needs children

  • Enjoys working in team based, collegial environments

 

Preference will be granted to applicants with the following education/skills/attributes: 

  • Licensed Speech Pathologist 

  • Master’s degree in ABA (obtained or actively enrolled in ABA graduate program)

  • BACB Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certificate 

  • Experience working with non-verbal children 

  • Experience using speech communication devices
